Tex-mex Hash

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen potatoes o'brien with onions and bell peppers
  • 1 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 8 ounces shredded colby-monterey jack cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet, brown beef. drain. remove meat fro skillet and keep covered set aside. in same skillet heat oil over medium heat until hot. add potatoes, cook and stir 8 -10 minutes or until browned. stir in salsa, chili powder and ground beef. cook 5-8 minutes or until heated through.sprinkle with cheese. cover and cook 4 minutes over low heat or until cheese has melted.
