The Chef's Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 cups yellow onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 5 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans chili beans, mild
  • 1 (8 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 brown the ground beef.
  • 2 combine everything into a crockpot or soup pan and gently simmer overnight or for six to seven hours.
