The Great Kiwi Mince Pie Filling

Ingredients

- 600 g beef mince
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 3 cups beef stock
- 1 1/4 ounces mushroom soup mix (dry kind)
- 2 teaspoons cornflour
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 brown mince in a heavy saucepan in a little oil.
- 2 add vegetables, herbs, stock and simmer for 1 hour.
- 3 mi together the soup mix and cornflower with 1 cup of water and add to the mince, simmer for 20 minutes.
- 4 season to taste and then cool.
