Tangy Beef Brisket

Total Time: 4 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 (28 ounce) bottle ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 lbs fresh boneless beef brisket, not corned beef

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender.
