Stuffed Burger Bundles

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup . sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Recipe

  • 1 prepare stuffing according to package directions.
  • 2 meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the milk, salt and thyme.
  • 3 crumble beef over milk mixture and mix well.
  • 4 shape mixture into eight thin patties.
  • 5 divide stuffing between four patties; top with remaining patties and press edges firmly to seal.
  • 6 place in an ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  • 7 bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear.
  • 8 for sauce, in a large skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until tender.
  • 9 stir in the remaining ingredients; heat through.
  • 10 serve with burgers.
