String Hoppers Biryani

Ingredients

- 25 g cooked string hoppers
- 500 g beef or 500 g mutton
- 250 g carrots
- 200 g spring onions
- 200 g tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 2 aubergines
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 3 -5 curry leaves
- 3 -4 cardamom seeds
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 5 tablespoons oil
- 2 maggi chicken stock cubes
- salt
Recipe
- 1 cut the meat into 2 cm cubes.
- 2 add salt, chilli powder, corriander powder and turmeric powder.
- 3 mix well.
- 4 chop the onions and tomatoes.
- 5 heat oil in a pan.
- 6 add the onions, ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves and cardamom seeds.
- 7 fry for 2 minutes.
- 8 add the meat, cook well and then remove from heat.
- 9 cut the aubergines into cubes.
- 10 add salt and a pinch of turmeric powder.
- 11 fry until golden brown.
- 12 cut the spring onions and grate the carrots.
- 13 heat oil in a pan.
- 14 add the grated carrots and chicken cubes.
- 15 cook for a while.
- 16 add the fried aubergines.
- 17 allow it to cook for some more time.
- 18 remove from heat.
- 19 tear the string hoppers and put the meat.
- 20 add all the cooked ingredients.
- 21 mix well.
- 22 garnish with spring onions.
- 23 serve.
