Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground veal
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup drippings or 1/4 cup fat
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
Recipe
- 1 blend all ingredients except drippings. form in small balls. brown in drippings, shaking skillet so balls brown evenly. cover pan tightly and steam for 15 minutes.
