Spanish Macaroni - Macarrones Espanol

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 dice bacon and cook in large skillet until crisp.
  • 2 add ground beef and brown well.
  • 3 add remaining ingredients in layers, being sure that macaroni is well dampened.
  • 4 cover with tight-fitting lid; cook over full flame until steam escapes.
  • 5 turn flame to simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
