Spanish Macaroni - Macarrones Espanol

Ingredients
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 dice bacon and cook in large skillet until crisp.
- 2 add ground beef and brown well.
- 3 add remaining ingredients in layers, being sure that macaroni is well dampened.
- 4 cover with tight-fitting lid; cook over full flame until steam escapes.
- 5 turn flame to simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
