Tunisia: Beef Meatballs (kefta De Boeuf)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 6 sprigs parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons gruyere cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons harissa (tunisia)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 medium egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 directions mix everything together, except the oil. form into 10 meatballs. heat oil in a skillet and brown the balls on all sides for about 5 minutes. drain on paper towels. serve over rice or couscous or can be served as an appetizer.
