Spinach Meat Roll

Total Time: 1 hr 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 300 g extra lean ground beef
  • 1 ounce egg , beaten
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, original blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground
  • 8 spinach leaves, approx

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients except spinach in bowl; turn onto sheet of wax paper or foil.
  • 2 shape into rectangle 12 x 10 inches.
  • 3 arrange spinach leaves evenly on meat leaving 1/2 inch margin around edges.
  • 4 carefully roll up meat, beginning at narrow side and using paper to lift meat.
  • 5 press edges and ends of roll to seal.
  • 6 place in baking dish on middle rack of oven.
  • 7 bake uncovered at 350°f for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • 8 remove from oven and let stand for 2 minutes before slicing.
