Tresa's Pot Roast

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 -2 lb chuck roast
- 3 garlic cloves, sliced
- salt and pepper
- oil
- 1 -2 your preference envelopes onion soup mix
- 1 (18 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 large onion, roughly chopped
- 5 -7 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 4 -6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
Recipe
- 1 cut slits in roast, poke garlic slices in holes.
- 2 salt and pepper meat.
- 3 brown in oil in a large pot -- something deep that can go into the oven.
- 4 remove meat and set aside.
- 5 add soup and mix to pot add 2 cans of water.
- 6 let come to a boil.
- 7 add meat back to pot.
- 8 add enough water to cover meat good.
- 9 add onion and bay leaves.
- 10 cover with lid or foil.
- 11 bake at 350 for 4 to 5 hours.
- 12 check on the liquid every so often you may have to add water.
- 13 45 minutes before it's done add potatoes and carrots.
