Trick-or-treat Turnovers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 (16 1/3 ounce) containers ready-to-bake refrigerated buttermilk flaky biscuits
  • 1/4 cup egg

Recipe

  • 1 cook beef and onion over medium heat in large skillet.
  • 2 drain excess fat.
  • 3 add cheese and mustard and cook until cheese is melted.
  • 4 cool slightly.
  • 5 flatten each biscuit into a 4 inch circle.
  • 6 please four biscuits in each of 2 greased 15x10x1 baking pans.
  • 7 spoon 2 tablespoons of meat mixture onto each.
  • 8 cut out jack-o-lantern faces from the remaining biscuits using a knife or cookie cutters.
  • 9 place over the meat mixture and pinch the edges to seal.
  • 10 reroll scraps and cut out stems for pumpkins.
  • 11 brush with egg.
  • 12 bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
