Swedish Meatballs

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (24 ounce) bag frozen meatballs
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 pinch allspice
  • 1 pinch freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 pour beef stock into a large pot and put over high heat until it comes to a boil.
  • 2 meanwhile, combine cream and cornstarch, reduce heat to medium and slowly add to beef stock while stirring.
  • 3 add allspice, nutmeg and salt and pepper and cook just until it begins to bubble at the edges of the pot.
  • 4 add frozen meatballs, stir and cover pot. simmer covered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. serve with egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
